I hope i got the arabic word for kuffa right which means.. peliharalah ...kuffa alaika haza was referring to
nanti balik I'll check.. kata-kata tu actually terngiang ngiang di telinga dari pagi tadi.. I heard it from Ustaz Shamsuri's ceramah which AbuAmiir pasang dalam kereta... It's actually from a hadith .. hiwar baina Rasululah wa Muadz (read: conversation between Rasulullah and Muadz).. (note: I'm using a lot of arabic terms in my blog to benefit iena's arabic study.. and other too hopefully..eheh)
:) Usahkan Islam, orang melayu pun mementingkan memelihara lidah..kalau tak..takkan ade ungkapan..terlajak perahu boleh diundur..terlajak kata tiada gunanya .
Islam dari awal lagi sentiasa mengingatkan umatnya bahaya penyalahgunaan nikmat lidah. Rasulullah pernah bersabda bermaksud: "Kebanyakan dosa anak Adam adalah kerana lidahnya"– (Hadis riwayat Tabarani dan Baihaqi).
Well.. is that a reason why people blog nowadays.. ?:)
Actually what i'm trying to stress out is that when we blog doesnt mean that kita terlepas dosa tidak memelihara lidah.. mengumpat ke kita.. mencerca ke kita atau membuka aib sama juga seperti ape kita zahirkan dengan lidah sebab ade mata yang membaca suara hati kita...
bezanya of course.. blogging boleh backspace and delete..and modern peribahasa should sound
p/s : Abuamiir had this stern look when I told him about how my girlfriends duk cerita pasal orang orang kenamaan yg terlibat dengan khalwat dan jenayah... "tgk tu orang perempuan kalau bercerita......."
ummuamiir lam hati... "erkh...perempuan mesti associate dengan ngumpat..apsal laki tak plak ehh?"
Abuamiir is very benign enough to buy me a new handphone!! ahah true enough after being wanting to throw my previous one in the ocean.. My previous phone decided to go hairwire.. I seldomly can't make out calls... can't receive calls.. my voice can't be heard...I even got a message from my boss because one of the manager cant reach me via my phone.. (the ultimate reason i agreed to buy this phone)..
Well, before i did agree to buy one, i made some rules of what the phone "must-have"
-cheap!.. so that if it gets lost or rosak i wont be so crappy about it..
-camera's and colur screens won't be necessary..
-boleh dibaling and unbreakable.. (after so many occasions of terrrrrrrjatuh handphone)
anyway, i strictly believe that my phone is only for conversations and messages...(besides I'm not good in taking care of a phone)
and at last..abuamiir bought me a nokia (he's an anti nokia fan).. well.. can't really find yg unbreakable.. if there is it would might be made of steel..hhehe
note: Our Amiir has been drooling a lot.. today i just knew heavy drooling are symptoms of getting their new 'pearl'.
Chef chief I'm not.. but what i know is that my assistant chef, zueika didnt came for the desert preparation as promised.. hehe.. mujur she came to the rescue as pembantu rumah contract during the occasion yesterday..thanks to you and laily!! Last sunday was quite tiring but i enjoyed it.. We had our fellow friends at home.. about 40 of them.. Abuamiir asked me to cook the most simple dishes... but when i decided on mihun goreng... he asked me to cook something different.. heh.. so i went on with mee rebus.. and some popiah.. it was a pot luck occasion so... when the dhuyuf (guests) came.. the side dishes overflood the main dish... Laily brought her yummy bread pudding with raisins on top .. kak ema with her puding caramel , kak kamy with he taman tun nasi lemak and kak ija with her sweet corn porridge .. to name a few.. :) i ate like a ... err.. :P... orang melayu kata.. mentakedarah..:P
We also had some pengisian rohani from a speaker... a story that I'd like to share..
"An incident involving Suraqah and the Messenger (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), when Suraqah caught up with the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and was powerless to reach him, confirmed if not provided proof of the prophet hood of Muhammad (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam). At such a time, the legs of Suraqah's mare were sinking into the sand while he headed towards the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), but when Suraqah dismounted and directed the mare towards Makkah, she stood up from her place. When once again he tried to prod her towards the Messenger (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), the horse's powerlessness resumed and it stumbled. Could this be possible to anyone other than the messenger who is subject to Allah's help? Certainly, not. Suraqah understood this and called upon the Messenger to grant him safety. He acknowledged that the Prophet was divinely protected and that no man would be able to surmount the protection of Allah. Thus, Suraqah was pleased with the loss of the bounty and the declaration of the messenger's promise to him of the bracelets of Chosroes, the King of Persia.
The Messenger's (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) promise to Suraqah of the bracelets of Chosroes constitutes another miracle because a man who seems to be fleeing from his people rarely conceives that he will conquer a land like Persia and take the treasures of Chosroes, unless, of course, if one is a messenger. The Messenger's (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) promise to Suraqah was fulfilled. Suraqah asked Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (radiallahu 'anhu) to fulfill the messenger’s promise when he saw the bracelets of Chosroes in the booty. Umar (radiallahu 'anhu) personally placed the bracelets on Suraqah while all of the companions watched. He thanked Allah, the One Who stripped Chosroes of his bracelets, and made Suraqah Ibn Jasham (radiallahu 'anhu), the bedouin, wear them. One after another, miracles took place during the emigration in order to strengthen the believers’faith after seeing and experiencing them. Such miracles also ascertained to those who received the earlier revelations, who have denied or hesitated to believe in the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), certain that he was the Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds. "
Islam itu jamiil kan ?... (Islam jamiil mush?)...unable to get the rest since amiir was wanting umi to be his endoi..

He attracted a round of boos from some delegates when his name was announced.....yeap.. I'm talking about K.J, PM's son in law
NST Wrote:
His humility won him generous applause. He then went on to state his role in the movement. "The role of a number two in any organisation is to help the head. In football, there is only one captain. In Umno Youth, there is only one leader, and that is Datuk Hishammuddin Hussein."We only have one vision and one agenda," he said.
UmmuAmiir kata: loh.. orang yang taktau kata Umno Youth ade conflict dalaman pun secara tak langsung tau with this statement..membuka pekung di dada..
Like other speakers from the movement, Khairy also made an oblique reference to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and other former Umno members who had left the party to form Parti Keadilan Nasional. He noted that the Opposition alliance included traitors who were once with Umno Youth."They are not only traitors to the party but also to the race. They were willing to set up another party and even contest against us," he said, offering to lead the fight against traitors.
UmmuAmiir kata: oh ahah.. yek?.. and why was Khairy among the first UMNO leaders that went to DSAI's house after he was released?hmm hmm
Hishammuddin said those unfamiliar with Umno might think the booing was a sign of protest. "Umno is unique, and members have ways and means to send a message to those who are coming in. But at the end of the day, things work out."
And what did Khairy think of his first day as the deputy head of Umno Youth? About the booing, he said: "It is the traditional welcome for a new leader and should be a lesson for all incoming leaders. "
And reading this....Ummu Amiir can't stop laughing...hehehehe
err.. if he's not PM's SIL, will he be up in front as yesterday (in his 20's)?

Sungguh! Allah Maha mendengar!
Jadi, sahabat sahabat yg Allah kurniakan rezeki sejurus lepas walimah ...bersyukurlah.. and for mereka yang macam Pn. limaunipis.. double bersyukur for your second baby.. murah rezeki!
And utk those yg masih menanti saat bergelar isteri.. and waiting for the right man… pasakkan quwwatul intizor dalam diri.. InsyaAllah nihayahnya pasti manis..btw, ieka .. this is from your brown tiger punya reading "Men are attracted to your mysterious atmosphere, but you tend to be very careful, and not fall in love too easily." Bukan takde orang nak kot..:P
and utk sahabat-sahabat yang lain yg masih "menanti" .... Yakinlah dengan jalan yg Allah dah coretkan utk kita..:)
Excerpt: Shaping Excellent Character; a manual for parents Eastern Culture - In our eastern culture, specifically Malay culture, we seldom give acknowledgement when our child has done something good.
- Usually we keep quiet, giving no praise, and this sometimes causes our children to feel unappreciated.
- We always assume (wrongly) that our children will understand – that when we keep quiet it means that we are pleased, and are satisfied with their behavior.
- On the other hand, when we find our children doing something wrong, it is so easy for us to scold then, raising our voices at them and punishing them.
- Indirectly, our children are concluding that many things that they do are not right and that they might incur our anger no matter what they do.
- In the Malay culture (and probably other cultures too), parents seldom or never praise their children, especially after they have started schooling, and this lack of praise gets even worse when our children become teenagers.
- Sometimes we feel awkward and embarrassed to tell our children that we appreciate them, and how much we love them.
- This problem is compounded by the fact that the vocabulary for expressing praise in the Malay Language (and perhaps other languages) is poorer compared to that of the English language.
- To overcome this problem, we need to be creative and invent our own phrases to express appreciation and give praise to our children’s good behavior or positive traits.
These words of appreciation and praise, after frequent expression, will come to flow out naturally in due time. - We need to remind ourselves to constantly praise our children, but praise them only at the right time and only for the right reasons.
heh...imagining AbuAmiir cakap "saya cintakan awak" *wink*
I like it when he relates it with seerah or real life stories..nantilah..kalau ade kesempatan.. I'll share pengisian dari kertas kerja dia here.
Dikesempatan itu jugak... diketemukan dengan Qmar.. sorrylah qmar kalau dulu pernah jumpe tapi akak tak kenal.. this time insyaAllah terpahat dalam ingatan..and other sisters too..:) Subhanallah..rindunya kenangan gather macam tu di MMU dulu... gitulah kalau ukhuwwah dah sampai ke tahap ta'liful Qalb (perpaduan hati).. hasil dari benih taaruf..:)
Auntie ieka & Uncle Faizal a.k.a digitalsy datang menziarah Amiir semalam... Thanks Ieka.. sembang sembang balik baru terperasan yang if not because of Faizal, mungkin UmmuAmiir and ieka won't be as close as today or mungkin tak kenal kot ieka ek ?.. eheh.. well credit goes to Faizal.. And kalau dah start sembang dengan ieka.. woo.. semua orang pun tau..susahnya nak brek.. hehe.. tarik nafas.. tekan minyak dari pukul 4 petang..sampai lepas maghrib baru stop.. itupun di berhentikan.. hehe.. Senada dengan tajuk indahnya ukhuwwah, UmmuAmiir perturunkan beberapa tuntutan berukhuwwah
1.Bermuka cerah ketika bertemu:
Berdasarkan riwayat Muslim dr Abu Dzar r.a. berkata, bersabda Rasulullah[SAW];"Jangan meremehkan kebaikan apapun bentuknya walau sekadar bermuka cerahketika bertemu saudaramu."
2.Mengadakan kunjungan persahabatan:
Akhirul kalam: Our Amiir dah 4 months old today...:) and Happy 25th Birthday Zaza!
ETON!!..
since you're reading this blog..
I recall eton when i watched "Enot the movie..".. Enot and shamsul ghau ghau and eton and sh... in real world.. cute match!.
anyway.. I've nothing to write actually but coincidentally , i met eton on the road, and she was like "nanti aku kepoh satu dunia" about my blog.. so I think i'l just write this as an honour to this minah kaypo of mine..
Eton has been a close friend of mine since PRe-U.. with gebu, nik and nadia.. U all should really get to know her..She can be as alim as when she gave me a souvenir plate as a present with a hadith narrated by Dar Qutni engraved on it..The hadith reminded of Solat di Masjid... uuuuuu...
and she can even be mischevious enough to the extend of decorating our neighbours cars with cans and paper shreds..with a note (happily married) sticked at the plate of the car..
But One thing that I'll never forget that made me lock myself in the toilet sebab marah!!.. ahah eton, gebu, nik, nadia.. u know the story, tak payah aku rewind!!.. anyway..thank you!. I'm married and tu antara kenangan kami..keh keh..
oh.. nih belum bukak story pasal gebu nik and nadia lagi..!!! heheh... Dah ler tu Eton ... insapla dari duk ngusik orang nihhhh..........
I received a comment from someone like this
"Yie (is a name of endearment for hubby used by his family) tu takde duit ke, qin duk pakai baju yg sama aje"
whoops!!.. I turned pink cheek when i heard that from my sis in law.. If the comment was straight forwarded to me without mentioning dear hubby, I won't care much ...but whoah.. this comment means that my hubby is badly judged because of me!!! When i told him bout it.. he didnt commented a thing.. dont know whether it's because the comment came from his mother or because he agrees that i'm so... poor abg..
It disturbed me really... I do buy clothes.. but not to the extend buying monthly or whenever ada occasion.. as long as baju tu boleh pakai.. my POV.. kenapa nak membazir right?.. or am i the only one thnking like that?.. I'm not ashamed to admit I still wear the jubah i wore during my pre U's.. during those times hubby suka tengok orang pakai jubah time.. :)..(ops.. i just got to knew that after marriage aa) and jangan tak percaya.. I wore it even when i was 9 months pregnant!.. I love jubahs...multipurpose!
But then i realized. I do buy clothes occasionally (tak sekerap my in laws kot heh).. but biasanya for office use.. not for casual occasions.. or decent ones which i can wear masa balik kg in front of the in-laws at home.. by the way,,I realized too that I haven't been taking care of my appearances since during my pregnant months... shame on you nuun!
Lesson learnt...
- I'll have to x-ray my closet for casual dresses..
- I'm going to the pharmacy to buy lotions and bla bla for self appearance depan hubby!!
and abg.. sorry buat abg malu...:(
A 5 years old -half balded-boy with his mum, playing and indulging in the world of his own... once in while looks at his mama and said something which only his mom understands.. After few months time, he will know how a "sound" sounds like.. he just had his first coclea implant.. and will have another in months time...
A lady in her 50th, washing and tendering his 10 year old son on bed lying motionless.. she was talking to him.. but the boy was not responding... he doesnt talk.. he cant walk.. cant sit.. doesnt respond.. he'll eat via tube, but he is mainly alive because his heart is still beating..and his hands and feets can still move... he can still smile once in a while out of nothing.. and that old woman have been caring for her son for two whole years in the hospital.... O Allah..grant me the patience of this old woman.
there was another boy.. lying with all tubes.. the ogygen machine still beeping.. and the mother standing worryingly.. I swear there were tears in her eyes .. hoping that the beat won't suddenly stop..
ala kulli haal... i thanked Allah for making us healthy.. I broke into tears just imagining the pain those kids had to endure.. and how patient or strong shall i be if I'm in their shoes.. That was partly my experience during the Read ALoud Session at the paedetric ward last Saturday organized by UMMIKUSAYANG Charity team.. I salute sis Elisa and Sis Filzah in their lively way of reading aloud to children and made them to participate..
Ya Allah.. Alhamdulillah... sungguh sikit syukurku berbanding nikmatMu....

My soul has been empty from ceramah and kuliyyah's.. pengisian mendidik jiwa.. So when one day dear hubby brought back a compilation of ceramah ustaz shamsuri.. kitab bahrul mazi, forums from al-kulliyah series and played it along our journey to and from kampung, it really made me sayu. lama sungguh tak rasa layyin qalbi.. lembut hati.. some even made my eyes filled with tears.
One of them was a story of Abu Ubaidah Al Jarrah.. Ustaz Shamsuri really descripted him well.. naik bulu roma mendengar kekuatan Islam para sahabat.. betul kata Ustaz, sahabat rasulullah ramai.. jangan hanya kita mendalami 5 orang khulafa' rasyidin tu sahaja... UStaz infact cadangkan buat forum khas.. just untuk cerita pasal para sahabat..Well.. here goes something about Abu Ubaidah Al-Jarrah...salah seorang dari 10 sahabat rasulullah yg dijanjikan syurga... oh how I was touched!..
The Honest Of The Nation
’Abû ‘Ubaidah Ibn Al Jarrâh
May Allah be pleased with him
Ult li albi bissaraha (Aku membuka hatiku dengan kejujuran)
Hayya nab'idil karaha (Hindarilah kebencian dan dendam)
Ba' ideena anil fattana (Hindarilah segala penipuan dan dosa²)
Aku yang memandang di dlm lubuk hati
Mencari-cari rahsia yg katanya tersembunyi
Aku yg melihat alam meliputi ujud menyertai
Kau berilahku kekuatan agar dapatku hindarkan segala kesesatan
Usah kau biarkan nafsuku terliur
Dari pandangan majazi ini
Aku yg bodoh lagi hina amat benar merindui
Moga cahaya lelatu tak membutakan mataku
Semoga segala puji takku meninggi diri
Moga segala janji dpt juga ku penuhi
Moga dpt ku hadang tikaman dr belakang
Lidah setajam pisau
Ku tidak akan risau
Dgn dugaan cabaran
Sepanjang perjalanan ku pasrah ku akur
786 Alhamdulillah Syukur!
Have always been wondering the meaning of 786 in the song Alhamdulillah by TOO PHAT and YASSIN, A sister from UKS forwarded the answer....
Issue and Questions on the meaning of 786
In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the mathematical miracle of the Quran was discovered by Dr. Khalifa in the early 1970's, the Muslim world treated him like a hero. He was invited to appear on TV shows and give many Radio talks. The news of the miracle was published in many newspapers and magazines in the Islamic world. The mathematical miracle of the Quran was included in the Islamic classes taught in some of the Islamic Universities. Many famous Muslim scholars tried to be part of it by writing about it and discussing it on their talk shows or classes.
Dr. Khalifa subsequently declared the truth and his conviction that the miracle of the Quran also confirms that Quran alone is the only source for religious law in Islam. It confirmed also that Hadiths and Sunna books are corrupted beyond belief and have no more than their historical value. A value that reflects many errors, innovations and distortion of the true Islam. Since then, the same scholars who praised Dr. Khalifa for the discovery of the miracle attacked him , his views and tried to discredit the mathematical miracle of the Quran.
One of the techniques they used in their attempt to discredit the miracle of the Quran, was to dispute the number of letters in the Basmallah (Bismillah) ( verse one of sura one) (1:1). They failed to understand that the mathematical miracle of the Quran has never been dependent on one factor only and some of the great discoveries have no dependence whatsoever on alphabets but rather on the numbers used in the Quran. The scholars thus claimed the Basmallah does not contain nineteen letters hoping to destroy the miracle of the Quran and the credibility of Dr. Khalifa , he obtained from the mathematical structure. A meeting of some of the most prominent scholars was convened in Saudi Arabia and after long discussion they declared that they do not really know how many letters are in Basmallah. According to them, the count of the letters could be 21 or 23 but NOT 19. !!!!
However, in the past few years two well known Sunni leaders, former Director of the Islamic Center in Washington DC and the other the director of the Islamic Center of Orange county, California answered a question about the meaning of 786 that is usually used to indicate the Basmallah (Bismillah). Both of them answered for the truth unaware or having forgotten earlier attempts, by traditional Muslims who are dismayed by the Quranic miracle and other scholars in in Saudi Arabia, to declare Basmallah as having "unknown number of letters". The leaders without thinking , forced by God Almighty to speak the truth that the number of letters in Basmallah are nineteen. Here is one of these questions which is still posted on one of the Pakistani discussion boards.
Q 2. I never quite understood the idea behind the number "786". Is it possible for you to explain its significance at your earliest convenience? (Asim)
A 2. "786" is the total value of the letters of "Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim". In Arabic there are two methods of arranging letters. One method is the most common method known as the alphabetical method. Here we begin with Alif, ba, ta, tha etc. The other method is known as the Abjad method or ordinal method. In this method each letter has an arithmetic value assigned to it from one to one thousand. The letters are arranged in the following order: Abjad, Hawwaz, Hutti, Kalaman, Sa'fas, Qarshat, Sakhaz, Zazagh. This arrangement was done, most probably in the 3rd century of Hijrah during the 'Abbasid period, following other Semitic languages such as Phoenician, Aramaic, Hebrew, Syriac, Chaldean etc.
If you take the numeric values of all the letters of the Basmalah, according to the Abjad order, the total will be 786. In the Indian subcontinent the Abjad numerals became quite popular. Some people, mostly in India and Pakistan, use 786 as a substitute for Bismillah. They write this number to avoid writing the name of Allah or the Qur'anic ayah on ordinary papers. This tradition is not from the time of the Prophet -peace be upon him- or his Sahabah. It developed much later, perhaps during the later 'Abbasid period. We do not know of any reputable Imams or Jurists who used this number instead of the Bismillah.
Editor's note:
Earlier Muslim scholar Fakhreddin Ar-Razi, in his famous book et-Tafsir-ul Kabir, links the 19 letters of Basmalah with 19 guardians of Hell. Other scholars did not question the number of letters in Basmalah until after the discovery of the the mathematical miracle of the Quran.
