You Raise Me Up

Tengah downloading lagu-lagu josh groban... :) . And this one is among my fav.

You Raise Me Up

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

There is no life – no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

dedicated to dear hubby...hiks..

baby hiccoughs...

Yesterday for some hours after dinner.. we were quite worried.. there was no rumbling and active movements from my usual active-sommersault baby (or maybe my baby did made some kickin but i didnt realize.. sibuk shopping dengan hubby.. heh)...dah lah siang tu duk baca cerita pasal how a couple had to face misscarriage.. waaa.. na'uzubillah...

but after some time.. .. well..agaknya dia sedar ummi ngan abi dia risau.. dia then gave us a sign... peh.. what a pleasure..!!

Having to feel and actually imagining there's someone in my stomach kind of excites me.. so yesterday, i did some research on baby movements... :).. (our baby actively moves when ummi nak makan or after makan..) and got some interesting information...

to track record..i first felt the baby's movement in week 18th!!.. tu pun after some time convincing myself that the movement was not because i was hungry.. hihi..

abbi dia selalu tanya.. cemana rasa baby gerak? i would answer.. erm.. cam ade butterfly in my stomach (influenced fr the reading i guess) and of course.. he would put this rumpling face... tak faham how it would feel like.. then i would explain.. just imagine your belly like a selimut.. and something moving in it.. ehehe.. ntah lah.. would man understand anyway?.. eheh..

well now.. i do know that the baby's movement need to be recorded.. in morning.. 10 movements per hour.. if it doesnt move..try and and have some juice or light snack..baring.. and try counting again..

Things that might effect the baby's movement:
1. the way baby is lying
2. what you eat
3. your activity
4. noises (my baby can already hear!!!)
5. baby's personality ( kalau baby senyap tu maybe the movement will be less)

hmm rasa cam gynae plak.. but believe me..I wont be studying all these if it's not because of the excitement.. and some more.. some unborn baby higgough (hiccups) quite frequently when they are growign in their mothers womb. It may be sensed by the mothers belly having small rhythmic 'jumps' every 10 to 20 seconds or so, for several minutes up to an hour or so. A very strange sensation!

well in another site that i read is that unborn babies.. actually cry in the womb!!.. but because of takde udara.. the voice could not be heard... masyaAllah...interesting eh..just imagine if baby boleh nangis dalam perut... ;)

i guess this is long enough..

and thanks to zaza.. for the tips.. saje paste kat sini for future ummis.. or readers yg nak kurus..*wink* to ieka... hehehe..

The banning of Hijaab....

The kufr are much more brave and dare to changing the law of Allah - how in Turkey, not just hijab is an issue, even compulsary prayers to be abolish, as well as arabic language (pls read below).

E.U.-Seeking Turkey Forces Hijab-wearing Girls To Don Wigs

ANKARA, (IslamOnline & News Agencies) - Young women
wearing Islamic-style headscarves have to go through a cubicle when
they enter the gate to Ankara University's Divinity Faculty. When
they reappear, on their way to class, they have either unveiled or
covered their headscarf with a wig.

The make-over is repeated daily under the watchful eyes of guards
enforcing a ban on headscarves, forbidden in universities and public
offices because they are seen as a fundamentalist political
statement against the strictly secular system of this Muslim nation,
Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.

Barring the veil, it is hard to see a difference between stylish
Turkish youths and the girls emerging from the cubicle. One - with
her rasta wig and trendy leather coat - looks more likely to be
heading for a clubber's party than a Quranic class.

"It feels very bad because I know I look ridiculous. I have no
ideological intentions, I just want to obey the rules of my religion
and attend my classes," says Derya Yildirim, 20, the hem of her red
headscarf showing under the black wig.

Hafize Kontbay says bias against the headscarf can be witnessed
everywhere: she was recently asked to leave the front row of a state
television studio and sit in a "less visible" place during a live
show, reported AFP.

Enforcement of the ban has been tightened since 1997 when the
powerful military launched a harsh secularist campaign and ousted
Turkey's first Islamist prime minister Necmettin Erbakan after his
rhetoric and policies sparked fears for the future of the secular
state system.

Mass protests against the ban have failed to impress the authorities
and, according to rights activists, an estimated 2,000 students who
refuse to take off the veil are currently unable to attend
university.

With general elections just a week away, the moderate Islamist
Justice and Development Party, which advocates religious freedoms,
is leading in opinion polls.

But dreading the ire of the generals, the party now says the
headscarf problem will not be a priority if it comes to power, said
AFP.

"I trust no political party and I do not think this issue will be
resolved any time soon," says Nurcan Elmas as she adjusts her veil
after leaving the Divinity Faculty building.

Her friend, Esra Apaydin, is quick to point out that the Nationalist
Movement Party, a partner in the outgoing coalition of secularist
Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit, forgot its 1999 election pledge to
resolve the headscarf issue as soon as it came to power.

For Husnu Ondul, the head of the Human Rights Association, the ban
is a "clear indication that Turkey is not democratic". It should be
seen as a violation of human rights by a country seeking to join the
European Union, he said.

"The parties do not want to openly confront the military. They
remember very well what happened in the past," Ondul says. "The fear
is still there."

The Islamist Virtue Party was outlawed last year on the grounds that
it backed and incited anti-secular activities, among them protests
against the headscarf ban.

Virtue MP Merve Kavakci triggered outrage among fellow deputies when
she attempted to take her parliamentary oath in 1999 wearing a
headscarf. She was never allowed to take her seat.

The EU, which often criticizes Turkey for human rights breaches, has
shown almost no interest in the headscarf issue.

In 1993, the European Court of Human Rights turned down lawsuits by
two Turkish students against their universities, saying human rights
norms do not give people automatic freedom to follow religious
precepts.

In May, in what the media considered an attempt to revive
fundamentalism in Turkey while others saw it as an activation to the
Islamic interpretative judgment activities (Ijtihad), frozen for 700
years, the religious consultative council in Turkey Saturday, May
18, declared 39 religious decrees, Fatwas.

As Islamic interpretative judgment activities (Ijtihad) had been
frozen for 700 years, the Islamic council met to settle certain
issues facing Islam in Turkey in modern times.

The council, in a session headed by Mohamed Fawzi Yalmaz and
attended by 100 religious scholars, released a final official
statement concerning different controversial issues in the Turkish
society and media.

These fatwas include the refusal of the council to allow the calling
for prayer (Azan), to be in Turkish instead of Arabic, considering
wearing scarves, hijab, a religious matter and one of the personal
rights and freedoms of women, and joining daily prayers to be 3
times a day instead of 5.

Muhasabah......

why is it that i have a house... but still commenting on why we didnt buy a bigger house..

Why is it that I have a miracle in my stomach.. but still mumbling why it came too late in my life..

Why is it that i can save and spend each month and still unsatisfied with what i have...

why is it that sometimes everything is not enough in my life..???

Had a chat with Aza on the topic.. apsal kita tak pernah bersyukur?.. ignoring the fact that the house we're living in right now was a thing that was far in our future plan.. ignoring that late coming of the baby made me know how a bless my hubby is...knowing which the money i earn every month tak tentu dapat dinikmati oleh orang lain... geee... betapa hamba Mu tak bersyukur...

What if... sebab kita tak pernah bersyukur.. One day..Allah sentap semua kebahagiaan tu dari kita...?..

what if... sebab kita tak pernah rasa syukur... things that we gain lepas tu semua jadi tawar dan hambar...

Ala kulli ahwaal...... Aku bersyukur!!!! Jauhkan aku dari bisikan bisikan syaitan itu....

mabrook ya akhawaati...

lama betul tak update..dalam-dalam tak update tu.. received several good news.. welcome to the club hany and tuuuuuut..:).. Any way utk kawan kawan yg luar sana.. my dearie sis also.. yakinlah dengan ketentuanNya.. pasti ade hikmahnye..:) ..

erm.. ade orang ajukan soalan pada kami whether kami tak buat ke melenggang perut.. hiks.. tak sangka pulak masih ade lagi orang buat adat tu.. but lega bila dengar adat lenggang perut sekarang nih lebih kepada mengumpulkan orang sembahyang hajat masa usia kandungan 7 bulan... taklagi seperti dulu kala.. bila orang orang melayu kita panggil bidan and bomoh.. guna benang telur etc.. na'uzubillahiminzalik.. kiranya sekarang nih mirip kepada buat acara doa selamat... :) tgklah kalau ade event lain utk kami buat majlis.. akan disekalikan ...:) .. kene balik revise bujet..:P

Mak Abah pesan....bykkan baca surah Luqman dengan surah Yusuf.... adik pun tanya..."ooo... orang mengandung takleh lah baca surah al-baqarah yek?.." hnss hnss....terrer arab pun payoh gak...

"A person's a person, no matter how small!"

- from "Horton Hears a Who," by Dr. Seuss, late famous children's author

Oh my!!... nausea again ke?.. hope not.. hope it's just caused by my gastritis.. any way.. Alhamdulillah for having a very supportive hubby... :) ).. di mana kan kucari ganti.......

today, is my 25th wk of pregnancy.. tup tap..tup tap.. I've been traversing through the 6 mths journey , understanding and observing the greatness and trueness of Allah's creation.. In the Holy Qur'an, Allah speaks about the stages of man's embryonic development:

"We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed-like substance)".2 (Qur'an, 23:12-14)

This was how the one-month-old-baby should look like

and now our baby is like this in six-month -old..... Aziiiim!!!!
